DCI Manager Costs Information

While this is still considered a donation to DCI, it provides a repeater owner or group another avenue to have access to other talkgroups without all the overhead of participating with us in the ham fraternity.  In other words, you only want MARC access or access to a regional or specialty group and you have no interest in DCI as a a social or Ham entity.  We have chosen to provide this access as we know that many repeater owners cannot afford the cost of a c-Bridge and yet do want the flexibility and access.  This is not designed to provide profit, in fact DCI will still underwrite some of the costs if you do join in this agreement.  But we still desire to help you even if you have no specific interest in DCI.

Support costs: $5.00 monthly or $50 annually, $20 set-up charge; not refundable (includes 1st 4 months of manager service and is included in the annual; set-up takes 30-60 minutes of time.)

What is provided:  Up to 10 talkgroups, programmed as you like according to the Talkgroup Worksheet.  Carrying of the DCI 1 talkgroup is not required under this agreement.

Your requirements:  You must be a ham, up to 2 more Ham repeaters may join your IPSC Network.  No commercial use of your network.  Conduct on air should be considerate not abrasive.

Bottom line:  If this doesn't work out for any reason, either you or DCI can terminate this relationship immediately, refunds provided for unused pre-paid months, $20 set-up not refunded.  You must abide by all rules in place by DCI or any other networks on which you have access via this arrangement.

Email your listing to dci@trbo.org along with your repeater ID to assist us in getting your networked talkgroups set-up the way you desire.

Use the Talkgroup worksheet to specify your talkgroups: Word or PDF

Last Word:  This is new for DCI.  We have never accepted a penny in donations since we started in Ham TRBO in 2009.  This page is our first effort to broach money in the Ham arena and it is not altogether comfortable.  This manager cost idea may go away at any time if it appears not to be a benefit to or a positive approach to cost sharing.  Your comments are welcome as we make our way through these unchartered waters.
