QnA Hour on TAC 310 - Moderator/Leader Information

If you are interested in being a moderator or a leader/presenter or just wish to speak on a DMR topic of likely interest to both new and experienced hams, then here's a bit of information that might help in making that decision.  We appreciate you getting just to this page, even if you proceed no further at this time.

What we are looking for are hams who have an interest in talking during one of the weekly QnA sessions.  So if you have a subject that you think will interest new DMR users or possibly even the experienced user, then consider contacting us with your idea.

Here are the parameters that we hope to follow:

  • Moderators run the QnA Hour, very informal, your own style is fine

  • Moderators be ready at the end of the TAC 310 net to begin the QnA Hour

  • A weekly theme, focus or topic provided by various hams, SME's, etc. for 10-15 minute period

  • QnA or discussion after the presentation with the leader hanging around to take question for another 5-10 minutes or as needed dependant on the interest in follow-up

  • Check our schedule for available weekly slots.  If there is a conflict will will attempt to adjust to suit

  • If you need a time certain for either beginning of the topic or departure from the QnA hour, let us know so we can accommodate you.

  • Beginning time would likely not be prior to 1745 PT and could be as late as 1810-1815 PT

  • Please Email us to schedule and if there is a later conflict or cancellation, please Email us again

  • QnA hour ends at 1900 PT/2100 ET if not earlier for lack of active participation

We appreciate your interest and with the help of our moderators and topic leaders we hope to have a fine benefit for all of DMR Ham Radio.

Comments, suggestions, future topics, focus leaders and volunteer moderators are welcome.  Email the QnA Hour.  Please let us know if you are interested in helping out.
